Books have arrived
Nov 26th, 2007 by Juha Ylitalo
In November 7, I ordered two travel books (Lonely Planet Germany and Nepal) from Amazon (amazon.co.uk). Eleven days later, I realised that they might not arrive before my trip to Germany and it turns out that they didn’t come in time. Thankfully Finland has pretty good library system as far as book selection and searching mechanism for books goes and we were able to loan necessary books from library.
While in Germany, I thought that I probably will have delivery note from post office waiting me at home and I could use that one to calculate delivery time. However, it turned out that Lonely Planet books are small enough that they can be put into our mailbox without any problems and as a result, I can only say that their delivery took 9-12 workdays (plus two weekends). Good news in all this are that books did arrive in time and if I want to order something for Christmas, they should still be able to ship it in time.
