Complicated
Jan 21st, 2008 by Juha Ylitalo
This week’s topic on Moody Monday is complicated. My first idea was to pick photograph about sailing boat, but I had already used that one in other meme in my Finnish blog, so I wanted to find something else instead. At the end, I felt that tram coming through the snowfall would be good photograph for this week’s topic.
Usually, when we get snow in Finland, things get complicated. Public transportation seems to be unable to stay on schedule, number of car accidents goes up, people fall on icy walkways and break their bones, etc. After couple days, people start to remember how you are supposed to walk, drive, etc. in snow and things return to daily routine.
Another complicated thing is that whether its warming climate or something else, but winters seem to be getting warmer and warmer. One would assume that we would already have decent amount of snow on ground, but we have none. I am starting to have my doubts whether we are going to get some before spring.

Beautiful shot! And I’m envious of the snow. We don’t get snow very often in North Carolina, USA. But we were promised it this weekend, only to have our hopes dashed.
That is a nice photograph and it really shows the snow coming down. In California, if it rains, everything is late so it’s not only in Helsinki. By the way, thank you for being one of the top Entrecard droppers. I have a link of your site on my blog.
Yes this is a great shot .. a reminder of what winter can be like .
