Hiking in Lapland

Tales from trails about sights and campsites

Natural

riverbed as natural choice for road

If your heading to remote areas in Iceland, it might be good idea to rent jeep instead of something smaller, since it can turn out that road is actually riverbed. This photograph about car driving at the riverbed is my entry for this week’s Moody Monday, where topic of the week is natural. I was also considering couple images where people were crossing river by hopping from one rock to another, but after studying the photographs more closely, I decided that those dams were man made.

Technical details: Canon PowerShot G3 (17.6mm, 1/200s, f/8.0, ISO50)
Location: Thorsmörk, Iceland

No tracks – landscape stays natural and untouched.
