Mountain

Last minute entry to Photo Friday’s Mountain challenge (started on Jan 11). This photo was taken at the end of day in Italian Dolomites as we were hiking on Sentiore SOSAT as we were hiking from Madonna di Campiglio to Rifugio Alimonta, where we stayed our first night on three day hiking trip.
Technical information: Canon PowerShot G3 (7.2mm, 1/125s, f/7.1, ISO100)

Wow!
wow, real life in motion!
perfect capture, but it looks dangerous though haha
We all had climbing harness with two short ropes (1-2m?) and carbines at the end. Whenever we climbed ladders, one was always attached to the ladder. As long as you followed those rules, there wasn’ any real risk. Only exception was our mountain guide (one with red coat), who seemed to do things in his own way.
An incredibly taken mountain climbing pic! I like the idea of it.
Very cool!
Did someone hide your lunch in that little yellow box? How mean
I was planning to tell Claire, what it says in that yellow sign (yes, it was sign…), but after checking original image I have to say that 4Mpix resolution is not good enough to show message in the sign.
Anyway, this climb on ladders was last big task for the day. From there it was easy walk to Rifugio Alimonta for dinner. Other option would have been to turn around and walk all the way back to Rifugio Tucket and in the following day you would have been forced to figure out your own way down from the mountains. With this options in mind, everyone decided that Alimonta is better destination.
Thanks for the extra info
It sounds like an amazing hike.
