Jackdaw
Jan 24th, 2008 by Juha Ylitalo
This week’s topic on ‘Photo theme for Thursday’ is nature. This photograph (about Jackdaw) was taken year 2004 (one of my first shots with dSLR), but we finally got little snow this week and due to some miracle it has stayed on ground. As such I felt that Jackdaw would be good demonstration about what the Finnish nature is at this time of year. When birds are not eating, they are trying to minimize their use of energy and are less eager to fly away if you slowly approach them.

waaa, Juha! this jackdaw is perfect!
I love it really.
i missed using my 20D, because of this photo, I was inspired to use it again.
Have a nice day! Greetings from the Philippines!
I like the bird, it looks like an American Coot (which I will post a photo of next week). But I almost like the ‘banner’ photo better - with the train, etc.
Good photography!
What a cutie!
Just wonderful
What a beautiful shot, I like how the eye is accented. Great work!
They said in Jurassic Park that we would never look at birds the same way again….And now I have seen a bird I have never seen before. This is such a wonderful picture that it leaves me almost speechless. Bravo!
