Organised - Taiji in formation
Jan 28th, 2008 by Juha Ylitalo
This week topic in Moody Monday is ‘organised’. Even though they gave good instructions about what this could mean:
1. Functioning within a formal structure, as in the coordination and direction of activities.
2. Affiliated in an organization, especially a union.
3. Efficient and methodical.
I still had problems on figuring what I should look for in my archives.
Finally, I decided to take photograph about a midnight training session, which we always have during Master Tung’s Lapland Camp (each year in the beginning of June in Salla, Finland). The training session itself is usually very spontaneous, but it happens at least once in each camp and once we are up there on the top of the fell (at midnight) we do a taiji form called slow set. Taiji by its nature is very methodical in a way how one move follows another and a good form of exercise.
In case you are wondering all the clothing, the beginning of June is not yet very warm, it is midnight and the top of the fell is a windy place to be, so hat and gloves can be useful even though not mandatory for survival.
