P - Porontimajoki

This week’s letter in Mrs. Nesbitt’s ABC Wednesday is P. Last week, I told you about Ounasjoki and hiking trail, which are in Kuusamo. This week, we continue this journey further south to Porontimajoki wilderness hut. Porontimajoki is the most southern cabin in Karhunkierros hiking trail. For those, who are heading from south to north, this is good stop for first night (16km for Ruka?). At the sametime its excellent stopping place for the last night if you are traveling from north to south along the trail.
Even though people always refer to it as Porontimajoki wilderness hut, it actually has two huts. Each one of them should have enough space for four people. The one in front of the photograph is old mill, while the one in background is just a normal hut.

Just to make one clarification. I haven’t done any special treatment on water. It is what you get with 3.2s exposure. Of course the other side of the story is that photo was shot around 10pm, so that it would be dark enough for long exposure.
