One of the first photography related projects that I did after I had bought my first digital camera, was to document how seasons change in my “front lawn”, which at the time was Sammatintie 6-8 in Vallila district within Helsinki. Unlike photo of a week project, whole point in this project was to take exactly same scenery each month. All photographs were taken with handheld camera (instead of tripod) and unforunately I didn’t even had notes to help me in making sure that framing would be exactly same in all shots.
Anyway, outcome from this project was 13 photographs from one year (starting from April 2001 to May 2002). I later tried to create similar kind of series, but they always lost in sentimental value to the first one.
