Smoke and Fire

More images from Helsinki’s Chinese New Year celebration. This was second time, when Chinese New Year has been big public event in Helsinki. I can’t recall why it was done last year, but since it was big hit then and this year Olympic games are held in Beijing, I guess it was relatively easy thing to sell this event to representatives of Beijing and China, who then brought some of their expertise to Finland.
They also had some other activities like photo exhibition, where they had images from Finland in 1952 (when Helsinki had Olympic games) and Beijing in 2008. Some concerts by chinese bands, etc.
More photographs: Chinese New Year fireworks
