Patterned

When I saw ‘PATTERNED (Striped, Checkered, Polka Dotted, Leopard, Waves, Mosaic, Swirls,…). ‘ as this week’s topic in ‘Photo theme for Thursday’, I was very tempted to take photographs from one of my recent vacations, but since I am trying to focus on Finland in this blog, I am going to rely on one of my old time favorites. I’ve previously used this photograph on November, when the topic was black and white photography, since this photograph is pretty much blue and white without any additional colors.
Photograph was taken just below Kiutaköngäs in Kuusamo. Kiutaköngäs is one of the most famous whitewater rapids in Finland. All hikers on Karhunkierros hiking trail will see it on their route, but if you are traveling by car, the nearest parking lot is about half mile away in Oulanka Visitor Center.
