Far From Home

Tadapani, Nepal

This week’s topic in Photo Friday is ‘Far From Home’. Longest distance that I’ve ever been away from home was in November 2003, when I hiked IncaTrail. Since I wanted to offer something little bit more recent, I thought little bit more about the subject and came up with this photograph. It was taken in Tadapani, Nepal. In Nepal Rhododendron are tall as trees and mountains leave Finland’s peak in shame. While these two things are so different from what I can find from Finland, the biggest difference was that most of the time in our five day hike in Annapurna region, we didn’t have cellular network available and would have been unable to call home, if need would have arisen.
