Balls in Helsinki

This week’s letter in Mrs. Nesbitt’s 3rd round of ABC Wednesday alphabets is B. At first, I was thinking about Birgitan Polku (translates to Birgita’s Path) hiking trail, then about bowling balls and at the end went for shiny metal balls. These three shiny metal balls are part of public art exhibit called ‘Olo n:o 22′ in Helsinki downtown. These three are only small part of the whole installation, which has 50 polished steel spheres on it. All these spheres are located around Hietalahti harbor basin, so there are lot of opportunities for all sort of interesting reflections, compositions, etc..
If you surf around the net, you can find more detailed description about this exhibit from Helsinki city artmuseum. There is also flickr group dedicated to photographing these shiney metal balls.
