Lesser Black-backed Gull (week 14/08)

All guidebooks about photography seems to recommend that if are shooting on natural light, you should take your photographs in a morning or evening. In my typical morning, I usually walk one kilometer from home to subway statation and on the other end I walk couple kilometers before reaching my office. In the evening, the pattern is pretty much same in reverse order. During last couple months, I’ve used these walking parts as an opportunity to look for new things to photograph. You’ve already seen some of the results from this experiment, when I published my photographs about office buildings in Keilaniemi and I’ve also taken photographs about various birds along the road (most of them are still waiting on my hard disk for post processing, but …). This photograph about Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus fuscus) is yet another photograph to be added into this collection. It was taken on my way from work to home (about 1km from office).
Next week my office location is going to move from Nokia House in Espoo to Ruoholahti in Helsinki. Once the move is done and I’ve got my bicycle back from maintenance, I can start scouting new areas for photography. I already have some plans in my mind, but more about those, when I have some photographs to show, how it all worked out.
