Air Supremacy (week 24/08)

If you visit souvenir shops in Lapland, you are likely to find T-shirts with mosquitos as cartoon figure and below them has label saying ‘Finnish Air Force’. Mosquitos might have air supremacy in Lapland, but in southern parts of Helsinki (Market Square and Senate Square) gulls have air supremacy. Last Sunday, I saw some brave ones dive in for cherry for booth and in Senate Square, which had event about Northern Karelia, people protected their food whenever gulls were hovering near by. Geographically this air supremacy varies quite heavily, because in Hakaniemi square, you can mostly find jackdaws and pigeons.
