Quiet in Kuusamo

During last two week’s in Mrs Nesbitt’s ABC Wednesday, we’ve been hiking along Oulankajoki to Porontimajoki and now with letter ‘Q’ we found ourselves in quiet place in top of Valtavaara. It is 4km from here to Ruka ski resort, so in a sense this is beginning or the end of trail for hikers.
During summer months it is so quiet and peaceful in there, that I would love to sit down and watch the clouds go by (until I would get tired of it, dig macro lens out of my pack and start shooting plants :). Only noise that you might be able to hear in here comes from singing birds and other hikers, who might pass by.
