Old and New Sallatunturi

This photograph was taken during Lapland Camp in 2008 as we were climbing last hundred meters or so to top of Iso Pyhätunturi, which is considered to be part of Sallatunturi ski resort. On horizon you can see three peaks of other fell. One of these three peaks is original Sallatunturi, which was lost during Winter War to Soviet Union and is still ruled by Russia. Whole village of Salla as we know it today has been built after the war, because original Salla is now in Russian territory,
