Rock

During last three week’s in Mrs Nesbitt’s ABC Wednesday, we were hiking in Kuusamo. Now its time to move south to Repovesi National Park. Repovesi has few things which makes it quite unique among Finnish National Parks. Part of the park is artillery firing range for army, some of the areas are protected by UPM, area has quite many roads going across the park and as a last point, it is quite popular place among rock climbers.

Photograph has been taken from Olhavavuori, which is 50 meters (150 feet) vertical rock face that starts straight from a lake. Rock climbers have their own tent village on the nearest flat spot of land. Even though my climbing career never reached the point, where I would go climbing outdoors, I still love the idea of photographing climbers as they are trying to ignore gravity.
