Travel on an airplane
Feb 28th, 2008 by Juha Ylitalo
This week’s topic on Photo Theme for Thursday is Travel. When your living in country, where you have sea in south and west, you pretty much have only two options, if/when you want to visit other countries. Those options are flying or going by boat. Due to time limitations, I have bad tendency to select flying due to its speed, even though its not very ecological thing to do.
At first, I was planning to use photograph from Rovaniemi Airport, but I had already used that one on my finnish version in Oct 18, 2007 on finnish photo challenge, where topic was pollution. I tried to find interesting photograph about trains or buses, but at the end, I decided to take this photograph about old DC-3 airplane in final approach before landing to Malmi Airport (taken on Canon Powershot G3) and crop all disturbing elements out of it. Since my web images are always cropped into size that has 720 pixels on long side, it turned out pretty well.
Technical details: Canon PowerShot G3 (25.1mm, 1/1000s, f/4.5, ISO50)

Very nice old plane. I love these old vehicles.
Same for me, I like this old plane. The metallic reflects are really beautiful!
