Vuosaari, Helsinki
Apr 13th, 2008 by Juha Ylitalo
Vuosaari is one of the Helsinki’s fastest growing residential areas. It is located by the sea to eastern part of Helsinki, which also shows in a fact that one of the three endpoints in Helsinki’s subway system is in Vuosaari. According to Wikipedia current number of people living in there is 35,000. Even thought new harbor and residential areas have taken up lot of space from this island, it still has some nice routes for walking in a nature. One of the best known parts of Vuosaari’s nature is Uutela nature park.
I’ve used photographs from Vuosaari in couple of occasions in this blog (Transparent and Ice).
