Tales from trails about sights and campsites

Strawberry Fields (week 28/08)

Jul 15th, 2008 by Juha Ylitalo

Strawberry Field, Espoo, Finland

Beatles used to sing in ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ that ‘Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about’. This scenary however is real strawberry field in Espoo. In the strawberry field, you have two options: you can buy strawberries, which someone else has picked up or you can take a bucket and pick your own strawberries.
If you pick strawberries by yourself, price is five euros per kg. This is cheaper than market price, but if you start calculating how much you pay for gas, etc. it is probably going to be cheaper to buy it from market. However, if you pick strawberries by yourself, you can individually select every single one of them.

Technical information: Canon EOS 40D & Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM (17mm, 1/25s, f/11, ISO200)
