Rock Climber (week 29/07)
Jul 21st, 2007 by Juha Ylitalo
Olhavanvuori in Repovesi National Park is well known spot, where you can see rock climber whenever weather conditions permit climbing. It has 50 meters high cliff that starts straight from water. This was our first visit to Repovesi National Park. Its one of the newest national parks in Finland. This place clearly demonstrate how national park status is double edged sword. In one hand it protects the area for years to come and making new paths, which should be able to handle raising number of visitors. Downside is that people are guided away from lovely old forest paths, which are so much more interesting to travel.
