European Starling (week 41/08)

Oct 19th, 2008 by Juha Ylitalo

Unidentified bird (week 41/08)

On Thursday evening, I walked through the Hietaniemi cemetary to see, if their would be something to photograph. I saw some Great Tits and Blue Tits among spruces, but my main interest was Fiedfares and some bird that I failed to identify. At first, I thought that it would be Spotted Nutcracker, but wings on this photograph don’t match with any of the photographs that I’ve seen on internet and books. friends at flickr suggested that this is probably European Starling. I don’t know, why I didn’t thought about that.

Couple more pictures about this bird:

These pictures has been added to my album about European Starling.
